Emmanuel’s mother sought the help of Humanity for Children when Emmanuel had an infected cyst behind his ear.  It was treated with antibiotics and his mother was reassured.  Thanks Andrew for providing medical care to Emmanuel and 9 other children in rural Rwanda!

Joshua is being examined by one of our volunteers at a recent health day.  He received antibiotics for a lung infection.  Pneumonia is one of the leading killers of children in sub-Saharan Africa.  Thank you Anne, Josh, Josiah and Isaiah for making a difference to Joshua and his family.

Lisiane’s mother walked two hours to our clinic in Gashanda for a checkup and to receive her vitamin A supplements.  Vitamin A decreases the mortality and morbidity from malaria.  Thank you Scott for making a healthy diet possible!

Having Norman Ogado living and working in the community in which Humanity for Children serves is incredibly important. He is available at all time of the day and night and can see when there is a problem.

During his first month at the clinic site in Rota Kenya, he saw Liz having seizures in the school yard. When he asked how long this had been happening nobody could remember, but it had been a long time.

Norman accurately diagnosed the problem and started anti-seizure medication. Liz is now completely seizure-free and able to lead a normal life unhindered by stigma.

Halleluia, like many children in her class, got a fungal infection in her feet.  Simple treatment with topical antifungal medications by HFC staff cleared this up fast and helped get Halleluia back on her feet. Thank you Sophie for your generous donation!  You helped Halleluia and 9 other children get crucial medical care!

Sybil carries her water from the stream in the valley. This water is polluted and can often cause diarrhea if not handled properly.  Through the HFC clinic Sybil was treated with rehydration salts and her parents were educated on how  to prevent further illness in the household.
