It is amazing how well behaved and patient children are in the developing world. None of these three children were ill, but received a checkup, toothbrush, multi-vitamins, and anti-worm medication thanks to your donation! They waited for it patiently, and were very eager to receive.
Along with seven other children, these three children were given the medical care and attention they need. Thank you so much for your donation–it helps more than you know!

Dear George,
Often parents have problems also and are seen alongside their children. Although our clinics are primarily for children, some of our supplies treat them also. A 2 year old named Divine had a cough and diarrhea and received zinc and multi-vitamins. Her mother had cracked calloused feet and was given ibuprofen and told to soak her feet 3 times daily. Your donation goes a long way for this family and many others. Thank you for your donation making a meaningful difference in Divine’s life.

Dear Eileen,
Malnutrition is a big danger to children in poor countries. They often do not get enough to eat or the wrong assortment of foods. In this picturyou can seeof Kevine in Gashanda, Rwanda. She is very thin and was given basics like a toothbrush and multi-vitamins and then referred to the district hospital for further tests and treatment. Without your donation, she and 19 others like her would not get basic medical care. Thank you for your generous donation!

Our clinical officer, Kespa, is very well liked in the community and spends quality time with her patients – a rarity anywhere! Here we see her talking to the patient to find out the problem and history and then thoroughly examining the patient.
After this she will decide upon the correct course of action of treatment. In this case, Anna has brought her daughter Rose in for a fever. Since there are no x-rays at Rota, the diagnosis must be made by physical exam.
Kespa listens carefully, takes the pulse, feels the stomach, and looks in Rose’s ears. Since she heard crackles in the chest she knows that Rose has pneumonia and needs antibiotics which were supplied by Humanity for Children. This allows Anna to go home assured that Rose is getting good care and will soon be well.
Without a clinical officer on site, she would have had to go 15km to Kisumu to see a doctor and then would have needed to buy the medications herself. This is almost impossible for the people of Rota. Likely, Anna would have just waited and seen how Rose did. Thanks to you Rose and 1500 other children were able to be seen and diagnosed in Rota. Since HFC began supporting a clinical officer in Rota last year, no child has died in the area. This is a testament to the worth of your donations! Your donations are definitely saving lives!
Thank you very much Molly, Mark & Lisbet, Bill, Marty & Lorri, Leo (2 days!), Richard, Wat, Rick & Beth, Sanjiv-Rajani, Susan, Jerame, Dwayne & Terese, Dean & Julie, Haris, Sabrina, Audrey (3 days!), Linda (2 days!), Donna, Nicole, Joel, Marisa (2 days!), Emily & Drew, Scott and Allan (2 days!) for helping to support our clinical officer, in Rota, Kenya for one month!
